How it works:

Our skin naturally produces small amounts of Squalene in our sebaceous glands, with peak production happening in our teen years and declining as we age. In its natural form, squalene is too unstable to be used in skincare products and can oxidize skin. It must first go through a stabilization process to become Squalane (squalene with an "a"). When added to skincare products, squalane makes the other hydrating ingredients easier for skin to absorb. In this formulation, it helps boost the hydrating effects of Shea Butter and Vitamin E. Lactic Acid (an alpha hydroxy acid, or AHA) gently exfoliates and unclogs pores, allowing moisture to penetrate skin deeper. It has an extra benefit that the other AHA’s don’t offer; it improves skin’s ability to retain moisture. Shea Butter, Vitamin E and Green Tea are rich in antioxidants that battle free radicals and help soothe dry, red and irritated skin. The verdict is moisturized, plumped and refreshed skin.

How to use:

Apply a small amount to clean skin and massage until absorbed. Use liberally on the face, neck, chest and hands whenever skin feels tight, dry or moisture deprived.

Heather's tip:

For added hydration, use this over the top of your favorite serums and moisturizers. You can even use it as an overnight mask.
