How it works:

Highly effective at targeting blemishes and wrinkles, Retinol is considered the gold standard in skin care. It penetrates past the epidermis (the outer protective layer of skin) and into the second layer skin where hair follicles and oil glands live. It helps skin regulate oil production and stimulates cells to produce more elastin and collagen. Retinol and Bakuchiol slow down the aging process by altering the behavior of skin cells. They activate sluggish skin cells to begin producing skin proteins faster and faster to plump up wrinkles and reduce pigmentations. Increasing skin cell production can sometimes cause dryness, but Linoleic Acid and Olive Oil help replenish skin’s moisture barrier to keep skin plump and hydrated. While Linoleic Acid creates a barrier on top of skin with it’s rich fatty acids, Olive Oil draws moisture to itself and releases it into skin. Both act as antioxidants to fight free radicals, reduce inflammation and soothe irritated skin. The result is a plump, smoothed and younger looking skin.

How to use:

Apply after serums to clean skin, at night only. Use broad spectrum SPF during the day.

Heather's tip:

This is a great night-time cream to use in fall and winter to repair any sun damage caused over spring and summer. If it is too drying for your skin, try alternating it every other night or every 2 nights, and use an ultra-hydrating cream on the off nights.
