Heather, so great to have you on the platform and excited to have you share your wisdom with our community today. Communication skills often play a powerful role in our ability to be effective and so we’d love to hear about how you developed your communication skills.

I naturally desire to connect with everyone in my life as well as in my business. My commitment to others has developed and strengthened my patience. This has helped me to effectively be understanding and understood by others.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I was raised on Whidbey Island in the Pacific Northwest. I grew up with a love to design all things related to beauty. I had a few years working as a model which took me all throughout Asian and Europe Leading me to pursue my original desire of singing ,writing and recording records.

After many years of working with so many incredible people I experienced a very tragic death and really just let everything go. At this time I was beyond broken . A good friend of mine encouraged me to go back to school and start using and applying my talents and gifts differently than I was formally had in my music career. I really never thought about it twice. I just moved forward. That was over 20 years ago.

I LOVE my work. I Love the results from my “Bradley Signature Sweep” I specialize in Dermaplaning and this treatment is specifically designed to get the absolute best results from your service. Although, I love every aspect of working on the skin and achieving the desired outcome for my clients it is not what drives me. The goal for me is to connect to the person and understand what they see in themselves. I really believe we do not see ourselves as we truly are. Working in skincare has me convinced that we wear our emotions on our faces and we think that everything that makes us younger makes us interesting, sexy and beautiful. This is just not true. I have learned that the most beautiful people have enormous love and faith. They are generous, kind and giving people.

Working as a skincare practitioner is truly rewarding. On every level. Through my ability to help heal others I have found healing……If that make sense.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

I have learned to have tremendous patience with people. Patience is key.

Get through school quickly and get out and start working. This is how you will learn the most about skincare.

Touching faces understanding skin is the largest organ in the body. You will learn differently when you respect how amazing the body is. the only way you can do this is by getting your hands on faces.

You learn and understand how products truly work good , bad or indifferent .

Find an area related to your work and be the expert at it. For me everything changed when I discovered dermaplaning. It opened up an entirely new way of looking at faces.

Be open and awake on your journey. Step up and into everyday. Be open and let it unfold perfectly for you.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?

My father told me when I was very young he never had to worry about me out of all the kids.

It ignited a drive in me.

He told me that my reputation is everything and to protect it all cost. This has stuck with me the most. It embodies the characteristics of truth, honesty, hard work and love.

My mother was always doing everything beautiful . She took great care of herself and when desired took incredible care of others. I always thought she was a healer but didn’t want the responsibility. Nonetheless she made you feel special.
