How it works:

While we sleep, our skin is hard at work repairing itself. It’s also the best time for us to incorporate active products into our skin care regimen. Lactic Acid is one of the gentlest alpha hydroxy acid’s (AHA) and it’s found in dairy products. It removes dead skin cells, unclogs pores and stimulates the production of new skin cells while simultaneously maintaining skin’s moisture barrier. This light exfoliation allows the other ingredients to move deeper within skin’s tissue. The amino acids in Peptides work at the cellular level telling skin cells to produce more proteins that make skin plump, firm and strong. Niacinamide helps skin hold onto moisture while it battle free radicals that cause inflammation, fine lines, wrinkles and dark spots. It also encourages skin cells to produce ceramides (lipids that protect the epidermis). To keep skin hydrated while it’s repairing itself, Hyaluronic Acid and Beta-Glucan pull moisture from the air and bind to it, then they release that moisture into skin cells. Beta-Glucan also functions as an antioxidant and helps repair oxidative stress caused by free radicals. The outcome is refreshed, vibrant and smooth skin.
