What Happens in My Treatment Room

My treatment room is different from a lab. It's free of marketing and promotion. It's a place where I work directly with clients, listening to their real concerns: aging, dullness, dehydration, lack of elasticity, acne breakouts and sensitivity to everyday products. In these honest conversations, we uncover what's actually happening with their skin—and what will truly help. I get their feedback on every product.

That's where our products get tested. That's where they prove themselves. That's where they earn a place in your skincare routine.

The Problem With Beauty Industry Testing

Most skincare brands test their products one of two ways:

Laboratory testing asks: Does this ingredient have theoretical benefits? Sure—on paper, many do. But theory and real-world skin are completely different. Your skin is constantly changing. It responds to stress, sleep, diet, environmental factors and yes, skincare products. You can't judge a product's true performance in a two-week trial when there are too many variables at play 24 hours a day.

Focus group testing asks: What do people think will work? The problem? Two weeks of testing versus 25 years of hands-on experience are two very different things.

But here's what actually matters: you and me. You see yourself every day in the mirror. I, as an esthetician, am literally closest to your skin. Together, we can see what's truly happening and what will really work. That matters more than any lab result.

How I Test Products

1. Visible Results

Before anything goes on the shelf, products are tested for at least a year on my clients. I watch how they perform, make sure they deliver on their claims (i.e. anti-aging, hydration, barrier repair, etc.) and keep up on any formulation changes from the manufacturers end, observing what my clients tell me.

When I recommend Anti-Aging Saging, it's because I've watched clients' skin plump and hydrate immediately. When I recommend a serum, it's because I see it absorb perfectly into the skin. When I recommend a treatment product, it's because clients report visible improvement.

2. How It Plays With Other Products

In real life, nobody uses one product. You have a routine. You layer. You combine. You mix things up.

Most products are formulated in isolation. They work fine on their own but clash with everything else you're using. They're heavy. They block absorption. They create texture issues.

I test every product the way you'll actually use it—in combination with other skincare. Does it enhance your routine or complicate it? Does it work in harmony with what you're already doing? Products that don't pass this test don't make the cut at Bradley Beauty.

3. Results Across Different Skin Types

Dry skin. Combination skin. Sensitive skin. Acne-prone. Mature. Young. The same product performs differently on different people.

I work with clients of all age groups and demographics. I see what works universally and what only works for certain skin types.

The products I select are ones that deliver consistent, visible improvements—whether that's clearer skin, better texture, visible plumping, or reduced sensitivity.

4. The Long Game

Beauty marketing loves quick wins. "See results in 3 days!" "Instant plumping!" "Visible change overnight!"

Some of those results are real, but most are overstated.

Real results happen through consistency. Week one, your skin is adjusting to the product. Week two, it starts to show results. Week three, everyone is starting to notice you look better, maybe even glowing. Compliments are the best confirmation.
