How it works:

There are many reasons why our skin could be dry - weather conditions, harsh soaps, dehydration, medical conditions or just unavoidable aging. No matter what the reason, skin needs moisture to stay healthy. The hydrating power of Shea Butter instantly conditions and soothes dry skin. It's full of fatty acids that plump and restore the epidermis (the outer layer of skin) with easily-absorbed lipids. Shea Butter's antioxidants help reduce inflammation and repair damage from oxidative stress. Vitamin E nourishes skin by plumping up fine lines and wrinkles while softening skin. It also acts as an antioxidant to fight free radicals. Despite it's name, Sea Buckthorn does not come from the sea, but a flowering shrub. It's rich in Omega 3, 6, 7 and 9 fatty acids, beta-carotene, and vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, D and E. All of these fatty acids create a lipid barrier on skin to moisturize and protect. Vitamin A helps skin turn over and produce more quickly which helps reduce fine lines, wrinkles and dark spots. For more moisture, Hyaluronic Acid pulls moisture from the surrounding air and binds it to skin cells to keep skin plump and hydrated. The result is soft, plump and firm skin.

How to use:

Apply a thick layer to clean skin, morning or night. Leave for 10 minutes. Remove the mask with wet cloth or cotton pad. Use 1-2 times per week.

Heather's tip:

Try using this mask as an overnight treatment. You can either apply it on top of or instead of your night-time moisturizer. Either way, let it soak in for 10 minutes before you head to bed and leave it on while you sleep.
